Corporate Legal Administrative Assistant

We have an immediate opening in our Milwaukee office for a Corporate Law Legal Administrative Assistant. We seek an energetic professional to support the attorneys and paralegals in meeting the needs and demands of the firm's Corporate Law clients.

You will join a supportive, hard-working team of Corporate Law professionals who are dedicated to providing creative yet practical solutions to our clients' business problems and needs.

As part of our Corporate Law team, some of the essential duties and responsibilities will include:

• Type from rough draft, handwritten materials and/or dictation into proper format.

• Compose basic or routine letters/transmittal e-mails.

• Enter timekeepers' time entries and assist with client billing process.

• Proofread for spelling, punctuation and grammar and use of firm style.

• Schedule and calendar appointments and meetings; make travel arrangements and complete expense reports.

• Obtain/maintain contact information.

• Serve as back-up to other assistants.

• Perform general research for timekeepers.

• Monitor e-mail, regular mail and voice mail.

• Organize and maintain filings (including electronic filing) and files; assist timekeepers with tracking deadlines and organizing projects.

• Answer phones and resolve questions or concerns from clients, other attorneys and co-workers.

• Prepare some corporate documents, such as stock certificates.

• Availability to work some overtime as needed to facilitate the timely completion of client deliverables.

This position requires superior administrative skills and strong client service acumen. You must be a professional with 3-5 years of administrative assistance experience; legal experience preferred. A Bachelors' Degree is a plus.
